Tribute & Message From The Family

Glenn Lee Lowe, 66, passed away early Thursday morning, December 26, 2013 from an unexpected massive heart attack during international winter vacation with his wife.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of the late Mr. Alfred Lowe and the late Hazel N. Lowe. He is survived by his loving family, his wife Tatjana Lova; son, Greg Lowe and daughter-in-law Cara; daughter Cristy Lowe and son-in-law Joey; also his sister Tammy Lowe and her husband Michael. He was a loving grandfather to three wonderful grandsons, Jacob, Nikolas, and Colton. He also became like a true father to his stepchildren Marija Betejeva and Max Zelenskis and loving grandfather of step grandson Gleb.

Glenn attended Parker High School and graduated from Greenville Technical College. His mother passed away when he was just 14 years old and his sister was a little over a year old. To be able to help his father he was forced to work as a meat specialist at an early age. He later worked as a supervisor for several steel plants in Greenville.

From a young age, Glenn was very passionate about the war history. Later, he turned his hobby into a business. He and his wife traveled all over the world to trade and collect memorabilia.

Glenn was a Christian and attended Brookwood Church in Simpsonville.

He was a caring, loving and giving husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He was a true friend to many people all over the world. We will all miss his exceptional sense of humor and will remember his kind smile and contagious laughter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary. Burial will follow in Graceland West Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 6 - 8pm at the mortuary.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Candle

I knew Glenn since 2004. He was my best friend and I am heartbroken by his passing away. He was a wonderful warm and loving person and we shared many wonderful times together. I shared his interest for military history. There will always be a place in my heart for Glenn. My life will be poorer without his presence. My condolences go to his wife Tatyana and her family.
