Julia C. Hyler, 93, of Greer, SC passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at NHC of Greenville.



She was born in Pickens County to the late Thomas and Frances Jones Childress on December 3, 1922. She was a homemaker and ran her own alteration business from home. She was a charter member of White Oak Baptist Church where she was a children’s Sunday school teacher and Outreach Leader. She was a loving and dedicated mother and friend. Julia C. Hyler, 93, of Greer, SC passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at NHC of Greenville.



She was born in Pickens County to the late Thomas and Frances Jones Childress on December 3, 1922. She was a homemaker and ran her own alteration business from home. She was a charter member of White Oak Baptist Church where she was a children’s Sunday school teacher and Outreach Leader. She was a loving and dedicated mother and friend. Her wit and humor was a joy to everyone. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harry Hyler; her son, Tommy Yeargin; her son-in-law, Marshall Hughes; four brothers; and four sisters.



She is survived by her daughter, Joann Y. Hughes; 2 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.



A special thanks is extended to the caregivers of NHC of Greenville.



A funeral service to celebrate Julia’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 1pm in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
